BREAKING: Devin Nunes is Resigning from Congress to Take a Big Position for Trump

Rep. Devin Nunes (R-CA) is resigning from Congress to take a big position for Donald Trump’s new media company, Disclose reported on Monday.

“Devin Nunes to resign from Congress in the coming weeks to become CEO of Trump’s media company,” Disclose reported.

“Donald Trump’s social media startup on Saturday announced that it secured $1 billion in new investment as part of its ongoing efforts to become publicly traded via a blank check company,” Axios reported on Saturday.

“None of the investors were identified, which is highly unusual for this sort of transaction,”Axios commented.

Trump Media & Technology Group still has not named a CEO, although the former President is listed as chairman, and does not plan to publicly launch any products until early next year,” the report added.

That vacancy might certainly be filled in the near future, following the announcement that Congressman Devin Nunes is retiring from Congress to join Trump’s media firm.

Donald Trump earlier announced that he is launching a new social media platform called TRUTH social.

“I created TRUTH Social and TMTG to stand up to the tyranny of Big Tech,” Trump’s announcement said. “We live in a world where the Taliban has a huge presence on Twitter, yet your favorite American President has been silenced. This is unacceptable.”

“I am excited to send out my first TRUTH on TRUTH Social very soon. TMTG was founded with a mission to give a voice to all. I’m excited to soon begin sharing my thoughts on TRUTH Social and to fight back against Big Tech. Everyone asks me why doesn’t someone stand up to Big Tech? Well, we will be soon!” he added.

“A beta launch of the site for ‘invited guests’ is expected in November, with a full launch in the first quarter of 2022,” the Hill noted.

The social media site’s launch was also announced on “Hannity” by Donald Trump Jr.

Donald Trump has been banned from most social media platforms, despite being effectively exonerated in the January 6 investigation. The Federal Bureau of Investigation has been unable to find any central plot to overturn the results of the 2020 election, including any one orchestrated by the former President of the United States.

In early October, Trump filed a lawsuit against Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey with the aim of restoring his Twitter account. The lawsuit argues that failing to restore his official account is a violation of his First Amendment rights and is tantamount to interfering in political elections.

TRUTH’s upcoming launch was announced along with the news that Trump Media & Technology Group has entered into a definitive merger agreement with Digital World Acquisition Corp. This will allow TM&TG to become a publicly listed company.

“The Trump Media & Technology Group also announced plans to launch a subscription-based video service called TMTG+ that will feature ‘non-woke’ programming,” the Hill reported. “The new endeavor will be led by reality television producer Scott St. John, who has worked on shows such as ‘Deal or No Deal’ and ‘America’s Got Talent’.”
