A Georgia judge is allowing for futher investigation into what litigants describe as “large discrepancies” uncovered in ballot images from the 2020 election. The State of Georgia was a crucial swing state and critics of the election have often pointed to the state as “ground zero” for likely election fraud.
VoterGA.org, Garland Favorito, and another plaintiff are being allowed access to audit the phyical ballots to check if there was double counting in the 2020 election. The decision was reported as made in an ongoing hearing by Henry County, GA judge, the Honorable Brian J. Amero.
“In the hearing, lawyers for VoterGA.org described large discrepancies (21%) between the number of ballot batches reported by the GA Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger who certified the election, and the number of ballot batches actually provided by court-ordered access in the previous April hearing in the case,” CDM reported.
“VoterGA.org has been examining the ballot images at a low resolution since the hearing in April, and declared they need the actual physical ballots to understand the number of counterfeit ballots certified,” the report continued. “Fulton County attorneys pushed for a sampling of the ballots instead of access to all of the ballots. They particularly objected to access to physical ballots.”
The judge’s decision was also publicized by former Georgia Senator Kelly Loeffler:
“Today, Superior Court Judge Brian Amero ruled that absentee ballots in Fulton County may be unsealed and examined for possible fraud,” the Greater Georgia press release read. “Greater Georgia supports this ruling, and we look forward to the findings of the inspection.”
“As previously reported by the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, Garland Favorito, a voting-integrity advocate and government watchdog, filed the suit in Fulton County to determine the extent of any possible wrongdoing.”
One issue pointed out by an expert witness to the court is the appearance of a high number of double ballots tabulated in the Georgia election.
“A high number of ballots appear to have been counted twice,” the expert witness testified. “There was an error rate in the batch data of 21%.”
“The ‘risk limiting audits’ conducted previously in the state of GA by SoS Raffensperger were shown in today’s hearing to be severely compromised,” the CDM report added.
The excessive amount of apparent “double ballots” would solve a mystery that was never addressed in the 2020 election: Why Fulton County election workers sent home election observers and appeared to run stacks of ballots through tabulation machines multiple times.
Vernon Jones, who is running for governor in Georgia, has vowed to replicate the Arizona audit in the southern state if elected.
