Authorities have charged Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi's husband, Paul Pelosi, with DUI causing injury, Napa County case records show.
He also faces a charge of driving with a blood alcohol content of .08 or higher.
Both misdemeanor counts were filed on Thursday after Pelosi, 82, was arrested in May for allegedly driving under the influence near near Yountville, California.
If found guilty, Pelosi faces a minimum of 5 days in jail, with a maximum of one year in jail, according to Wallin & Klarich.
Other potential penalties include probation for three to five years and the suspension of his driver's license for up to three years upon, according to Shouse Law.
Officers arrested Pelosi in May after a 2014 jeep collided with his 2021 Porsche at an intersection. Police initially booked him on driving with a BAC of .08% or higher and driving under the influence. Pelosi was released hours later on $5,000 bail.
No injuries were reported at that time.
Pelosi has made headlines over the past few years due to his stock purchases.
