Trump Suspends Law for First Time in History to Help Americans During Coronavirus Outbreak

Thanks to President Trump an abundance of critical relief supplies are now being transported across the nation to Americans in need.

On Friday Trump suspended a 1938 law for the first time in history to help battle the coronavirus in America.

The law he waived had stated truck drivers were not allowed to drive more than 11 hours in a 14 hour shift. And afterwards they were required to have 10 hours of downtime.

The waiver has now made it possible for truckers bringing medicine and other outbreak-related supplies to not be subject to these rules.

This was a great decision by Trump and will help bring vital supplies to many Americans in need during this trying time.

More details from the Western Journal:

“Because of the decisive leadership of President Trump and Secretary Chao, this declaration will help America’s commercial drivers get these critical goods to impacted areas faster and more efficiently. FMCSA is continuing to closely monitor the coronavirus outbreak and stands ready to use its authority to protect the health and safety of the American people,” Mullen said in a statement.
In addition to medicine, the waiver covers haulers carrying food to restock depleted store shelves, sanitation and cleaning supplies, equipment needed to construct temporary housing, or those who are being moved to either provide emergency services or to be removed to quarantine.

Trump has made one smart decision after the other since the COVID-19 outbreak was initially reported in China.

Despite that fact, Democrats have desperately tried to slam Trump's response to the virus.

But it's very clear that his administration has done nothing but help slow the spread of the virus and save lives in the process.

Over the next few months it is crucial that we stand behind Trump more than ever before.

Those on the left will be working tirelessly to try to stop him before 2020, but we won't let that happen.
